FAQ

We know that each and every case is totally different; however we do get some common queries.

Can you guarantee a win in court?

There is always a risk when a case is taken to court and you can never guarantee a win. At Mary Mullarkey Solicitors, we let you know upfront of any likely scenarios that could arise and also how we will face them. By being as prepared as possible we have the best possible chance of securing your desired outcome.

How do I go about a Personal Injuries Claim?

First of all you must take the claim to the injuries board. Roughly half of all cases can be settle here. There are fees with this, so be careful. If the case is not resolved, it can be taken to court. Often people will try and settle before it comes to this. As always, the first step is to speak with us and determine exactly the type of case we are looking at and all the factors that will help towards your case.

When should I make a will?

Right now is the best time. There is no age limit to draw up your will and you can always change this afterwards. You are advised to change your will after a separation, at the birth of a child, after one of your heirs passes, basically any time you or your heirs circumstances change. This ensures that your assets are distributed how you want them to, not according to the law.

What is Conveyancing?

This is simply the buying and selling of property – both commercial and domestic.

How long does it take to complete a sale?

Unfortunately there is no set time frame. Each sale is different and it can also depend on how quickly the other party completes their paperwork. About five weeks is a good estimation. We keep you informed every step of the way and are here to offer guidance.

I am being bullied at work, what should I do?

It is up to your employer to ensure that you are not being subject to any type of abuse in your job. This can even extend to time outside of working hours. If you have spoken with your employer and still feel that no measures have been taken, come speak with us, we can advise you on the best course of action.
